 Dr. Karen Moroz is an Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education Department and serves as the Coordinator for the MA in Classroom Instruction with a Reading Emphasis.  Her primary areas of interest are literacy, leadership, and effective pedagogy.  Karen enjoys teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves on Concordia's Assessment Council, and is active in a professional learning community focused on implementing engaged learning strategies in higher education settings. Before joining CSP, Dr. Moroz spent fourteen years as a seventh grade language arts teacher, served on building leadership teams, participated in various district curriculum initiatives, and worked as a literacy coach within one of Minnesota's largest school districts.
