Chuck's Home Page
Chuck is an Associate Professor of Organizational Management in the College of Graduate Studies at Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MBA from the University of Minnesota, and an MA from Eastern Michigan University.
He has served as Marketing Manager for the Medtronic Corporation, Corporate Auditor for the General Motors Corporation, and Chief Financial Officer for the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts. He has lectured on Management and Leadership at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.
His wife, Cass, is a teacher in the Burnsville (MN) public school system. They have three grown children and two grandchildren. Chuck & Cass operate a web-based Asian antiques and art business called Three Friends of Winter Antiques.
Presently, Chuck is the Interim Chair of the MAOM Department. He teaches OMG500 Management Foundations, OMG530 Managerial Research, and OMG550 Strategic Thinking. His research interests include: Adults & Self-Directed Learning, Organizational Cultures, Management Styles, & International Management
Teaching Philosophy: The teaching/learning process is a partnership between the instructor as facilitator and the student learner. The instructor’s responsibility is to create a challenging yet safe environment where learning can take place. The ultimate goal is that students continue to develop as self-directed learners.
